Who Is Ciré?

Ciré the Maestro was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, the Mecca of style, culture, and vibrant nightlife. Ciré the Maestro’s birth name is Eric Nicholas. As Eric Nicholas developed into the ultimate Renaissance artist, he became known among fellow musicians as “Ciré the Maestro.”

The son of a musician, Ciré the Maestro caught the music bug early in life. Watching his dad practice on piano and perform as a keyboardist with his band, Ciré the Maestro developed a passionate love for music at a very young age. At the age of five, he performed his first recording session, singing background vocals on his father’s first recording “Disco Claus” by the Bionic I.

At age 9, Ciré the Maestro was introduced to The Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research (IDMR), where he met Richard Amos, former bass player of the funk group Sam and the Soul Machine. Amos began teaching Ciré the Maestro scales and music theory. By the time Ciré reached age twelve, he was performing in his Bible School Choir, which gave him the tools to grow into a seasoned musician.

Ciré the Maestro studied music at the acclaimed New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), which afforded him the opportunity to travel the world and perform throughout Europe and South America. When Ciré the Maestro saw the legendary Herbie Hancock perform, at that moment he knew that he was destined to do something extraordinary with his talent. Thus, his destiny was set.

With over 25 years as a keyboardist in the music industry, Ciré the Maestro is also a Music Producer. Utilizing his extensive knowledge of the techniques of acoustic designing and sound recording, Ciré the Maestro produces music in a plethora of genres: Pop, Rock, R&B, Soul, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Classical, Orchestral, as well as his own original music style. Passionate about presenting real quality music that comes from his heart to his listening audience, Ciré the Maestro is truly an inspiration to the Music Industry. His personal musical inspirations extend from Bill Evans, Kenny Kirkland, and Joe Sample, to Miles Davis, George Duke, and Chic Corea.

Ciré is signed with Sea Breeze Records, where he is currently Chief Staff Producer, Recording Artist, Songwriter, and Arranger at Sea Breeze Records. His desire is to share his musical passion with people of all ages, and inspire the younger generation to express themselves musically with their own style, free from any previous rules.
